Component Cost Changes
|
Hi, firstly many thanks for this great site. This is my 3rd year running a team and it adds so much to the overall F1 experience. I have a query, though, about the latest cost changes following the Brazilian GP. I am mystifed as to how Hamilton's value has dropped by 3 mil, despite him qualifying 2nd, finishing 2nd and achieving the fastest lap, making him the top scoring driver, whereas Sutil and Gutierrez, who both finished down the field have both seen their value increased by 3 mil. Can you explain the reason for this? Thanks Carl.

Hello Carl!
I am pleased that you like the game
Hamilton's value change: Maybe at the first sight it seems to be unusual that he has lost 3 Mio, but it's quite easy to explain. You have to look at the overall scores, not on a single race score:
1. Rosberg 580 pts. -> 48 Mio. 2. Hamilton 549 pts. -> 46 Mio.
Hamilton has been protected by his string of victories for the last few races. According to his overall score, he had been overrated for a while. That's why the 2nd place finish in race 18 caused a 3 Mio. value decrease. (Not 4 Mio. because of the rule: The change in value per race is limited to +/-3 Mio. for each component.)
Kind regards Maverick
